My awesome 20th birthday.

Roughly a month ago I turned 20! Like, officially. Not to say it's a massive deal because I've been telling people I'm 20 all year through anyway. It's still my birthday nontheless, and it only comes once a year. =P
To give some background, I intended to celebrate for sure, but procrastinated the whole 'planning thingy' until a week before. Baby and I brainstormed various venues for nice dinner. We even be there to make queries and check out their menus. You cant imagine how panicked we were. The final venue was decided only a night before. We almost went to bed actually, then it prompted us to go check out WIP. We did not take it seriously because we were afraid it's gonna blow our budget. Guess what, we liked it at first sight. So much for being impulsive than prepared.

Finally we had it at WIP, BSC in Bangsar. We were very keen on having it there before, too keen in fact. We brought Mindy with us to make reservation. She is such a darling, been a great help on deciding on stuffs. Everything was set within half an hour. Sounds a bit too good to be true, because it felt as though something was missing. Paranoid much.

We had pizzas for appetizer and variety of mains to order from. I was starved, I had one after another. Have to do justice to the pizzas, it was some really good stuff.

Them bois:
 Arief . Hadi
 Beloved Vinod!
 Roger . Aaron

 Faez

Big shot Fikri.

We took tons of pictures like nobody's business, as if that place was ours. Food managed to arrive before I collapse. *exaggeratedsial* I had fish&chips and it was superb! At reasonable price and a huge portion, if this is not worth I don't know what is.

Must try !
SEE HOW NICE IS IT OR NOT!

Them gers:
 Mindy. Boo. Su Ann. Jolene
(doing Boo's signature smile )
together with Eekie and Renesha. Notice that all of them are in maxi dresses? Mindy and I went shopping on that very afternoon and thank god we found what we like. It was a like dress-hunt-Amazing Race.
Aren't they gorgeous???

 My favourite picture!
 The family portrait.
with Joshua.
And they made me do this alone. )=

Saw how my face changed? Damn hilarious.
My dinner went out the fences way too early that night. The neighboring table shifted, too disgusting perhaps.
I lost count of how many times I sat there. I *somesoundeffect* like a lady, see I crossed my legs even!
The 911s to the rescue.

Here comes the bomb. We had a present game. Well, not exactly a game. They made me choose one out of two presents, all by babyboo. Very tough task! Almost torturous, especially when I'm not in a correct state of mind. -.-

Angels and devils who tried to psycho me left and right.

HA, I get to open both anyway!

I wonder why is it a ritual! Makes no sense. Somebody is going to push your face into the cake (Most of the time they promised they wont) and I still do what they say! Then I have chocolate all over my pretty face. )=

 Thank you baby for everything!
To those who came,
love you guys long time!

Christmas Cheer

Exactly one more month till Christmas!
I'm wont be sorry going all over about Christmas due the fact that people who don't celebrate might somehow be irritated. But!
There's so much more about Christmas than just presents and decorated coniferous trees. We have all heard it's the season of giving and care for people who needs to be taken care of. Well, that is exactly what it is! In another word, be generous! However, we never fail to fall back to the same old Christmas routines every year. Something for a change in 2010, perhaps?
I have a strict list of people whom I care about. I may not be with them all throughout the year but at this time of the season, I'll go out of my comfort zone and get them what they want. Unlike Birthdays, we tend to give expensive gifts to make us look good but during Christmas, get something they may not mention but have wanted it long time. This tests one observation skill. =p

In collaboration with the true meaning of Christmas, Acts Church has launched a Christmas Cheer Project. Very much self-explanatory. Our aim is to spread the cheer to our less-fortunate community around us by using the most simple and practical way-- food. They might see it as a gift, but the bigger gift is to share God's love.
During the launch, almost 600 turned up with various food items. Essentials would be cooking oil, rice, sugar, salt, biscuits, canned food etc (food with long expiry). The total amount of food collected almost like a mini Tesco! We see them everyday but has it crossed your mind that somebody out there is actually struggling to get those things to make him/herself a meal?  It is overwhelming and touched to see how one person with at least one food item could have such big impact on able to feed an entire village! Don't you think it's amazing?

This is what I call celebrating Christmas with a good cause. At this point of life, it's too selfish just by buying presents satisfying ourselves and yea, ourself. Do something different for a change this Christmas, start spreading the cheer outside of your house's of four walls. Allow me for this metaphor: A branded bag might make someone happy, but not for long, but 10kilos of rice will definitely make the whole family happy and grateful for the entire year. They might never know who we are, but our giving hopes for no return, it was just plain blessing. Just like how are we blessed by God everyday and most of us didn't even realized, or even thank Him. Isn't tiring and troubled to think that whenever we give, we keep an account for a return. Sooner or later no one will give anymore.

When no one gives, no one gets. When everyone gives, everyone gets! -Pr. Kenneth.

I'm not of very influential kind of person. During service on the recent Sunday, I'm struck by her story on how she merely mentioned about this to her colleagues and the next day her car is filled with goodies for the Project! I'm gonna just going to do my best and believe that God will settle the rest. If I've wronged you, let this pass our offences, because this is not about me. So I challenge you today, whoever that reads this. Do you want to make a change to the norm? Making an impact is not hard at all, but going against the world's current is. This project will go on until Christmas, feel free to leave a comment.  Everyone can be a part of this Project, you want in? I'm willing help channel the things you want to donate, IF you are willing to extend your grocery list.

Cheers for those whom's heart enlightened,
M.

If I could turn back time..

I'm suppose to be studying because I'm having test tomorrow! The word ''test'' sounds like a small word compared to ''exam'' isn't? True enough but not for me as I haven't heard these words for ages!
I finished reading my notes, but unfortunately I don't understand any bit. )= Reference books ran out as soon as a week before the test, being the last-minute person, I had to borrow similar book from Monash U. How more pathetic can SEGi be? Talked about study/resourcing skills, their library is a failure.
I've yet to start the book, which I think it will be very soon. I have approximately 12hours more, in which excluding my precious beauty sleep. >.< Sigh. To add on, mom jinxed me on falling sick last weekend because I had home-cook dinner and she just have to cook Curry Chicken when I'm having ulcer. Now? I'm down with flu (don't know why) and sore throat. DOUBLE sigh!

On the verge of giving up. Then again, it's never the right thing to do.

Yen San & Khas.

Taken from my new Iphone4!
Went shoe shopping for Khas @OneU.
Elaborated post coming soon.

Some call it science, but we call it Chemistry.

We just marked our 1st year anniversary roughly a month ago. I know it's late but better than never! I've many promises to update the blog more consistently but I decided to give up la. I'll update in my own term. So back to our main topic, we didn't quite celebrate it but a romantic dinner is a must have! We planned to go to WIP @BSC but that night was a full house. Our tummies doesn't allow us to contemplate whether we're willing to wait an hour for a table so out of desperation we chose La Bodega. He was quite disappointed at first but the food there wasn't bad at all! And we manage to keep it under our budget too.

We left pretty late that night. He blames me for having a-girl's-timing as usual. Oh well, he wouldn't want me if I wasn't a girl right?!

We had a hard time understanding the menu at first. As if we were guessing the food from the illustrated pictures. Of course, no choice we had to seek help from the waiters. >.<

We had appetizers of wild mushroom soup and bread (I think it's a complimentary).

And cream pasta as his main course. It was delicious! Definitely on par with Deli'cious.

That's some chicken kebab as one of the sides. Strictly not recommended because it tasted exactly like chinese marmite chicken on a stick. =.=

Highlight of the dinner! It's barbeque lamb cutlets. It's bit pricey but totally worth it! Yummeh to the max.

That kind of sums up our so-called romantic dinner. Nonetheless it was romantic to me. We met up with the friend at Piccadilly for some drinks after that. Though things did not went according to plan, it still turns out perfect.

Hit Me.
